BUYING A BIKE · CHECKING YOUR CURRENT SIZE
Which bike frame size should you start with?
Use your measurements and the exact model’s published chart. Compare up to three bikes without treating their size labels as equivalents.
Two measurements, one exact model
Enter your height and inside leg in centimetres or inches. Choose the manufacturer, full model and wheel option. The year is optional. Confirm the generation only when it matches the source; a photograph can help narrow the search but does not prove identity.
Keep the uncertainty visible
Published ranges can produce one or several starting sizes. Conflicting measurements, open-ended bands and unknown generations need extra confirmation. Where only size labels are available, the product shows those labels without turning them into a personal recommendation.
The shortlist is a place to begin trying bikes. Reach, mounting clearance, controls and adjustment limits still matter. TT buyers also need a sustainable forearm-pad position that the bike can reach; mountain-bike buyers need standing and terrain checks.
Save a comparison before shopping
Add up to three catalogue entries to your session. Each keeps its own chart confirmation and recalculates against your measurements. Choose a shortlisted size for each bike, then select a reference to see how many millimetres higher or longer the other frames are. Published stack, reach and standover appear where available; missing geometry remains labelled as missing. Your chosen sizes save with the session. The comparison does not rank one bike as the best fit.
