How long does an online bike fit take?
Plan for setup, a usable recording and a repeat check. The video length is only one part of the process.

There is no fixed session time for Everyday Bike Fit. Basic checks depend on what you can measure; a video fit also needs safe equipment setup, usable footage and time to compare. A follow-up ride happens separately.

Allow time to set up once
Have your bike details, usual shoes and a way to record measurements ready. Start with your riding and equipment questions. If you are unsure of the bike year, leave it unknown; identifying a manufacturing date does not need to hold up your initial fit.
For video, install a compatible trainer according to its instructions and position the camera before you get on. Check lighting, framing and the near-side joints. Poor framing can mean another recording, so a short preparation check can save repeated attempts.
Distinguish riding time from an accepted sample
The live recording route currently requires at least two minutes of recorded riding as well as its movement-quality checks. An elapsed timer alone does not mean the footage is suitable for analysis.
For an uploaded clip, first ride steadily for at least two minutes. The current upload route needs at least 20 seconds of footage, 20 detected pedal cycles and the other quality checks. Record longer when needed. These are capture requirements, not a promise that a complete fit takes two minutes.
Leave room to review and repeat
Read the observations before changing the bike. You may need to correct the camera position or repeat a measurement. Sometimes the useful next step is to keep the current setting, gather clearer information or seek individual help.
If a supported adjustment is appropriate, record the original setting, follow the component instructions and repeat the same check after one change. The time needed depends on your equipment and how confidently you can make that adjustment.
Continue at your own pace
You can return to saved session details through your account. Check that your session has saved before leaving. Save each original video on the recording device too: account autosave does not upload or transfer the footage.
A second device can display recording status and measurements while the first records. It does not show a live video stream. Keep a later familiar ride separate from the indoor comparison and add what you noticed to the follow-up record.
